About
Calmer in the Chair is an independent personal blog about dental anxiety and comfort during treatment. I am Tessa Morrow, and I write for people who find the waiting and the explaining difficult, as well as the dental work itself.
This publication exists because broad reassurance can leave very specific worries unanswered. I care about what happens when someone is afraid of feeling pain or cannot find the words to ask for a break. There is room here for those worries without embarrassment or a demand to become fearless.
I work through one subject at a time, using plain explanations and clearly hypothetical wording for conversations. Links provide background, while uncertainty stays visible in the writing. These pages offer general information and personal reflection; decisions about symptoms or treatment depend on an examination by a qualified dentist.
